Couleurs

https://couleursapp.com

I’ve been using Couleurs for a long time now and even though it’s not a ground breaking app that you can’t live without, it’s one of those time savers that you wish you had so you don’t fire up Photoshop or Sketch just to figure out a HEX value. Give it a try… it’s free! …

Ready to print device templates for UI & UX designers.

http://sketchsheets.com/

I’m a huge fan of doing everything digitally, especially things that require multiple design iterations. However, sketching something on a piece of paper often proves to be more… inspiring. But every time I want to draw something quickly, and that something needs to be within a mobile device or a browser frame, I end up with weirdly shaped boxes that ruin my sketching moments. Not any more!

An Illustrated History of Mac OS X.

http://www.git-tower.com/blog/history-of-osx/

Pretty sweet illustrations! Made me jog my memory back to the days when OS X wasn’t all that hyped. Really loved the Tiger OS X 10.4 graphic with Intel chip… that was definitely some major news back then. Especially for the Hackintosh lovers!

CSS Puns & CSS Jokes

http://saijogeorge.com/css-puns/

A hilarious side of CSS that I never knew. After reading all the “cards”, I can say that CSS coding has a new meaning for me!

OS X Must Have Apps

https://www.wunderlist.com/list/134853635

– What app is that?
– What do you use for that?
– How did you do that?

I get to hear the above questions quite often. And it’s all about OS X’s magic! So I made a list of all the apps that my Mac can’t live without. Feel free to add it to your Wunderlist, share, tweet, like etc. as I am planning on keeping it up to date with the latest apps that earn my must-have badge.

Update: Make sure you edit your bookmarks as I moved the list to a new place.

Dimensions Browser Extension

http://felixniklas.com/dimensions/

Dimensions is yet another must-have Chrome extension for designers and developers that seek for an easy way to measure pixels. And since this is an open source project, I really hope someone can bring it to Safari… although I seriously doubt it.

Fontface Ninja

http://fontface.ninja

What an amazing tool! I tend to inspect the source code on many websites I visit, in order to see what fonts they’re using, colours, sizes etc. So this is definitely a time saver, plus it gives you the option to test a font with your own message… brilliant!

Breach: A browser for the HTML5 era.

http://breach.cc

I believe that when it comes to the browser, we’re pretty much covered. Safari, Chrome and Firefox already rule the web. I’m guessing that doesn’t put a stop to anyone with a new take for a browser though, even if it’s meant to sink after a few months.BUT this one seems different! Definitely not a browser my mother or my wife will ever use, but I know quite a few geeks (including me) who see a bright future for Breach!

So yeah… why not? Let’s hack this baby up and see how far it will go.

ShareDrop

https://www.sharedrop.io/

Transferring files from one computer to another is kind of a daily task for me and when Apple announced AirDrop for OS X, I thought of it as the new feature that will save me a lot of time! However, that’s not how things worked out. AirDrop is a nice feature that I use… when possible, but it has too many limitations and that makes it impossible to use on my every day work enviroment.

And now there’s ShareDrop! Same idea with Apple’s AirDrop without any of the limitations, free and web based. No software to install and it just works, even across platforms! Oh right… it works on Chrome, Opera and Firefox.

Gridzzly

http://gridzzly.com

I’m such a huge fan of all-things-digital and one of the Apps that helps me stay digital everyday is Evernote. However there are times that a piece of paper and a pencil cannot be replaced. Especially when putting together a quick design draft. And even though there is a variety of grid notebooks that you can buy, Gridzzly is the DIY tool for the job. If you like drawing, sketching or designing stuff on paper, you are going to love it.
